Hey all

As I must have hammered into all your heads by now the site WILL(!) be finished by NH's first birthday. And, as a result of this I've always wanted to have little apps on your profiles. This means a whole new profile, which will take up all the page and be so much more customisable!

Well, I've managed to make this app business actually work. Only I will be able to create new apps but it's really easy so no worries there.
Apps will be very similar to those on DeviantArt profiles - check mine out at http://blumes s.deviantart.com. They're little boxes which you can add, remove, re-arrange and customise.

So, here's the question - which apps would you like
There will obv. be some old favourites such as a gallery and a blog, but here are some of my ideas:

-Twitter app. It gets your tweets from twitter and puts them on your profile
-Featured work. Select your favourite submission and it will be the first thing people see!
-Comments wall. Does what it says

But unlike DeviantArt, we will have loads more apps and THEY WILL BE 100% FREE! I'm pretty stuck for ideas so let me know, complicated or easy

Also, the themes will be 50x better, allowing you to change the whole background of the page, like on Twitter!

Yeah I really need inspiration. Ideas please!

Something to see what submissions made by you are viewed most, with a graph or something.
Are these going to be Flash Apps?

Oh and I noticed that Kaolin only has one item in his gallery, but the number next to the word gallery ("Gallery(number)") clearly says 6.

Nope, just HTML / PHP apps. But they can be flash if you wanted to make a flash app - i can give you the dimensions / make server-side code, wouldn't be hard
And that's because Kaolin has 5 things as a dev, but 1 as a regular user cause he got demoted. So it's only showing stuff in the portal :/ screwed up I know but that will be sorted with new profiles

How about digg and stuble upon buttons ? Do they count as apps ?

I don't think so.
I think Digg should be used more for individual submissions or blog entries than for whole profiles.

If I / someone can code something which gets things you've recently Dugg, then yeah sure I will include that!
It quite a good idea actually, incorporating major sites, so people can look at a user's tweets and stuff in one place

Add a code that tracks which "Digg!" buttons you press, and then turns that into one array per user?

Been looking into the Digg API, a bit confusing but could be do-able?

Anyway I got the twitter app working
I'm not showing you anything just yet, still trying out stuff. but the point is it works! Yay!

Fixed. but for some reason the "and" symbol just fails to work
