Hey

I don't know if any of you have heard about Interactive Fiction, but basically they are books where you are in control of what happens. Like, you move around the book to different locations by typing in "east" or "southwest" etc. and look at objects by typing "examine fridge" for example to find out more about something. You can also put stuff in your inventory, e.g. "take key".

Why am I telling you this? Well, partly because I've been getting itno IF (Interactive Fiction) with Frotz for my iPod Touch, and partly because I had a brainwave a few minutes ago

This is a forum, is it not? Well, how about we make our own interactive fiction stories to get some activity around here

So, my idea is that you make a story by going to the Literature forum and just making a new topic, with IF: infront of it. Then, you set the scene for the story and tell the people on the forums where they are, what's happened etc. and people can contribute to the story by playing it as af it was a normal IF game, e.g. typing in "examine switch" or "walk east" etc. and the story maker just plays along with this and responds to whatever they do, e.g. tells the person where they are now / what there is to do.
If there are 2 responses for the same part of the story, only take notice of the first one so the story teller doesn't get confused

Google "interactive fiction" if you want to know more bout it.

You know what's fun?
A completely text-based game.
It's called Llama Adventure and you can find it here. Unfortunately, it doesn't end.

It's exactly like the Interactive Fiction.
